very interesting site. i am researching the various ground observers corps sites once located through out massachusetts. on line newspaper archives have some great info about stations located in the berkshires and on cape cod. i'm trying to confirm if a station was set up on mount sugarloaf state rerservation circa 1952. these locations were staffed as part of operation skywatch, with lookouts scanning for russian bombers, etc. do you have any info about the g.o.c in franklin county?

Thanks for doing all the work so we can sit at our computers and learn some very"Cold" history! I've already been to the CT site and have been very impressed. I am sure I will be here too!

I really like this site, esp. the pictures of Westover AFB.
